Mr. Daniel Yu is the Chairman and Co-founder of AsiaSoft.
Prior to AsiaSoft, Mr. Yu joined Sun Microsystems Corporate Headquarters in 1985 and had been President of Sun Microsystems Greater China from 1994 to 2007.
Mr. Yu had been the main driver of Sun¡¯s strategic development in the areas of marketing, channel expansion and the creation of innovative sales initiatives in Greater China and Asia Pacific. As the President of Sun Greater China, he had led the team to sell and implement several billion dollars worth of network computing solutions for major enterprises in sectors ranging from telecommunications to finance and banking, and from manufacturing to the government and education sector.
Mr. Yu received for his distinct contributions to Sun numerous recognition including Innovator of the Year (1991), Country Manager of the Year (1993), Sun¡¯s Inaugural Leadership Award (1994), Sales VP of the Year (2000) and the Sunrise Sales Club 10 Consecutive Year Achievement Award. He is a graduate of the Sun Leadership Institute 2003.
Prior to joining Sun, Mr. Yu held a variety of management positions for various Fortune 100 companies, such as Apple Computer, Coca-Cola and Ford Motor Company. Since 2000 for six years, he served as the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Applied Science & Technology Research Institute.
Mr. Yu was a Certified Internal Auditor in USA and received BS and MBA degrees from the University of California, Berkeley.
